This drug is utilized to treat mild to moderate pain (from headaches, menstrual periods, toothaches, backaches, osteoarthritis, or cold/flu injuries) and to reduce fever.
Take this device by mouth as directed. Follow all directions around the product package. If you might be uncertain about the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
There a wide range of brands and kinds of acetaminophen available. Read the dosing instructions carefully for every product because the quantity of acetaminophen may be different between products. Do not take more acetaminophen than recommended. (See also Warning section.)
If you're giving acetaminophen to some child, make sure to make use of a product that is supposed for youngsters. Use your kid's weight to discover the right dose on the product package. If you don't know your child's weight, you may use what their age is.
For suspensions, shake the medication ahead of when each dose. Some liquids don't need to be shaken before use. Follow all directions around the product package. For rapidly-dissolving tablets, chew or allow to dissolve for the tongue, then swallow with or without water. For chewable tablets, chew thoroughly before swallowing.

For effervescent tablets, dissolve the dose in the recommended volume of water, then drink.
Pain medications perform best if they are used as the first indications of pain occur. If you delay until the symptoms have worsened, the medication might not exactly act as well.
Do not take this medication for fever in excess of 3 days unless directed from your doctor. For adults, usually do not take this product for pain for over 10 days (5 days in kids) unless directed because of your doctor. If the child carries a sore throat (especially with high fever, headache, or nausea/vomiting), consult the physician promptly.
Tell your physician if the condition persists or worsens or if you develop new symptoms. If you think you might have a critical problem, get medical help straight away.

A grave allergic attack to this particular drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you see any symptoms of a life threatening hypersensitivity, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially from the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
