Retino-A Cream can be used for treating acne. It may also be utilized for other conditions as driven by your physician.
How to use
Use Retino-A Cream as directed by your physician. Check the label about the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
Retino-A Cream is perfect for external don't use anything but.
Remove all cosmetics having a gentle soap before applying Retino-A Cream. Gently dry the spot. Wait 20 to 30 minutes to make sure that your skin is entirely dry.
Apply a thin film of drugs towards the affected area. Rub in gently.
Wash your hands immediately after using Retino-A Cream.
Drug Class and Mechanism
Retino-A Cream can be a vitamin A derivative. How it exerts its beneficial effects against acne breakouts are not fully known. Tretinoin seems to increase skin-cell turnover and to decrease the tendency for skin cells to stay together. This cuts down on the formation of acne and allows quicker healing of acne that does develop.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of Retino-A Cream, skip the missed dose and return to your family dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at the same time.
Storage
Store Retino-A Cream at room temperature, between 59 and 80 degrees F (15 and 26 degrees C). Store in a tightly closed container. Store far from heat and lightweight. Keep Retino-A Cream out of the reach of children and faraway from pets.
Possible Side Effects
All medicines could potentially cause unwanted side effects, but many folks have no, or minor, unwanted effects. Check with a medical expert if all of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome:
Redness, peeling, or a feeling of warmth; sensitivity to sunlight; skin irritation; stinging at application site.
Seek medical help right away if any of these SEVERE unwanted side effects occur:
Severe allergy symptoms (rash; hives; itching; lack of breath; tightness in the chest; swelling in the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); severe redness, swelling, blistering, or crusting of the skin.
