INDICATIONS
Propecia is utilized for treating some types of male pattern baldness (androgenic alopecia) in men. Propecia can be a steroid reductase inhibitor. It works by lowering the volume of the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by the body processes. This may block some kinds of hair thinning in males.

STORAGE
Store Propecia at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Store from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store within the bathroom. Keep Propecia out of the reach of children and far from pets.

Propecia can impact a blood test called PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) for that screening of cancer of prostate. If you have a PSA test done, you must educate doctor(s) that you will be taking Propecia. Because Propecia decreases PSA levels, adjustments to PSA levels will have to be carefully evaluated from your doctor(s). Any boost in follow-up PSA levels using their lowest point should be carefully evaluated even if the test results are still inside the normal range for guys not taking Propecia.
