This medication is accustomed to treat sleep issues (insomnia). It may enable you to go to sleep faster, stay asleep longer, and lessen how often you get up throughout the night, to get an improved night's rest. Before taking eszopiclone, tell a medical expert or pharmacist if you happen to be allergic to it; in order to zopiclone; or in the event you have any other allergies. Before using medicines, tell your doctor or pharmacist your health background, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, lung/breathing problems (such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease-COPD, sleep apnea), mental/mood problems (including depression, thoughts of suicide), personal or genealogy of regular use/abuse of drugs/alcohol/other substances, personal or genealogy of sleepwalking, a specific muscle disease (myasthenia gravis).
The effects of the drug may last even when you get up the next day. If you didn't get 7 to 8 hours of sleep or took other medications that made you sleepy or tend to be more sensitive for this drug, you could feel alert but not think clearly enough they are driving. Wait at least 8 hours after taking this drug before driving, and don't drive, use machinery, or do any activity that will require alertness until you're sure you'll be able to perform such activities safely. Avoid booze. If you take these milligram dosage of eszopiclone, usually do not drive, use machinery, or do any action that requires alertness the very next day.
Before having surgery, tell your medical professional or dentist about all of the products you utilize (including prescription medications, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products).
Older adults might be more understanding of the side effects of the drug, especially dizziness, confusion, unsteadiness, and excessive drowsiness. These side effects can improve the likelihood of falling. Also see the How To Use section.
