INDICATIONS
Crestor can be used for lowering high cholesterol and triglycerides in some patients. It also increases high-density lipoprotein (HDL, "good") cholesterol. It is also utilized to slow atherosclerosis (narrowing from the arteries) in patients rich in blood levels of cholesterol. It can be used as well as the right diet. Crestor is an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, also known as a "statin." It works by lowering the output of certain fatty substances by the body processes, including cholesterol.
