INDICATIONS
Clindamycin is indicated in treating serious infections brought on by susceptible anaerobic bacteria
Clindamycin is also indicated in the treatment of serious infections on account of susceptible strains of streptococci, pneumococci, and staphylococci. Its use should be available to penicillin-allergic patients or other patients for whom, inside judgment with the physician, a penicillin is inappropriate. Because of potential risk of colitis, as described inside the WARNING box, before selecting clindamycin health related conditions should look into the character from the infection as well as the suitability of less toxic alternatives (eg, erythromycin).
INSTRUCTIONS
Take clindamycin just as prescribed because of your doctor.
