INDICATIONS
Aldactone is used for treating swelling and fluid retention in patients with congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, or kidney problems (nephrotic syndrome). It is also useful for treatments for high blood pressure. It may also be familiar with treat or prevent low blood potassium. It may also be employed to treat excess secretion of the hormone aldosterone through the adrenal gland. Aldactone is often a potassium-sparing diuretic. It works by blocking the hormone aldosterone, resulting in the kidney to reduce excess water, save potassium, and minimize blood pressure levels.
